Deluxe expanded edition includes a bonus disc featuring the new 6-track So Outta Reach EP.

Atlas Sound - Parallax CD/LP (4AD)
Third long player from the ever-expansive solo project from Bradford Cox of Deerhunter. Atlas Sound is not a "side-project," but rather a fully fleshed musical landscape chock-full of pop chronicles culled from sci-fi fever dreams and mid century rock.

Cass McCombs - Humor Risk CD/LP (Domino)
Humor Risk is perhaps Cass' most upbeat album yet, showing him in a more optimistic mood, and could be seen as the happier, more hopeful sister record to Wit's End.

Thee Oh Sees - Carrion Crawler/The Dream CD/LP (In The Red)
New album captures the riot-sparking energy of their live show. While Castlemania was more of a vocal tirade, Carrion Crawler/The Dream is meant to pummel and throb.

200 Years - 200 Years CD/LP (Drag City)
New album from this duo comprised of Ben Chasny and Elisa Ambrogio. Sonically, it's basically Ben and Elisa with guitars, Elisa's voice, Ben's guitar alone, the breath of a harmonium, and the faintest strains of piano.

65daysofstatic - We Were Exploding Anyway CD/LP (Monotreme)
US edition of the 2010 album from the post rock band features the Heavy Sky EP with guest vocals from Robert Smith.

Aelter - Dusk-Dawn/Follow You Beloved 2xCD (Crucial Blast)
Double-disc collects the first two albums from Wolvserpent guitarist Blake Green's alter-ego. Dark, ethereal downer-pop influences fused with a malevolent black heaviness.

Alva Noto - Univrs CD/2xLP (Raster-Noton)
“...rugged industrial barrages of beats, violent noise and occasional glassy tones. It's like Pan Sonic or Sleeparchive thrown through the corroded guts of Ted Hughes's Iron Man then fed into Bill Gates's nightmares...” -- Boomkat

Angels & Airwaves - Love Album Parts One & Two 2xCD/2xCD+DVD (Rocket Science)
New release from alt rockers led by Blink 182's Tom DeLonge. Love Part Two, the band's fourth studio album, is being released alongside the release of the critically-acclaimed independent film, Love.

Animals As Leaders - Weightless CD/LP (Prosthetic)
The group's genre-defying compositions have earned extensive praise -- Steve Vai called the band "the future of creative, heavy virtuoso guitar playing."

Olof Arnalds - Olof Sings CD (One Little Indian)
On this covers album, the Icelandic songbird brings her own inimitable, intimate spin to classics by Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Arthur Russell, Caetano Veloso, and Neil Diamond.

Live recording for the Holland Festival of a performance at the Bimhuis. Here she performs on the Steinway D grand piano, accompanied by members of Current 93, Nurse With Wound, and Trembling Bells.

Baleine 3000 - Tour Manager CD (Sonig)
The music of Baleine 3000 has a southern wind; one can feel the influences of Baile funk, African new beat or Miami old-school bass music.

The Bees - Every Step’s A Yes CD/2xLP+CD (ATO)
Formerly A Band Of Bees. “Mellow and spaced-out. Paul Butler seems to have internalized the feel of bossa nova and samba. These songs showcase a gentle melodicism as akin to Gilberto Gil as it is to Pink Floyd's ‘Arnold Layne.’ I guess the simplest term for it would be psych-folk.” -- Pitchfork

Beneath Oblivion - From Man To Dust CD/2xLP (Mylene Sheath)
Beneath Oblivion blend the hypnotic, churning crunch of Sleep and Electric Wizard with the raw, broken down contempt of Grief and Buzzoven, and the monolithic heaviness of Zoroaster and Yob with elements of Agalloch-esque folk-metal and Skepticism-esque funeral doom keys.

Beware Of Safety - Leaves/Scars CD/2xLP (Mylene Sheath)
This is the first studio album by these post rock icons in nearly three years.

Paul Byrom - This Is The Moment CD (Shanachie)
New album from this key member of PBS/Irish music phenomenon group Celtic Thunder.

Judy Collins - Bohemian CD (Wildflower)
An album inspired by Collins’ recollections of the southern California scene of the 1960s.

Chris Connelly - Artificial Madness CD (Relapse)
A meticulously crafted album of deeply expressive pop-tinged rock. Connelly (ex Ministry, Revolting C##ks, etc.) excels in making music running the gamut from stark to bombastic that is sincere and compelling.

David Dallas - The Rose Tint CD (Duck Down)
“Though the accolades in his homeland have been plentiful, David Dallas was largely unknown to the American public prior to Kanye West featuring Dallas’ breakout ‘Big Time’ on his blog last year. With the Kanye bump in tow, Dallas rode the hype machine into the studio and emerged with The Rose Tint, a record chronicling the rapper’s unlikely journey to Harlem which is easily the most impressive Kiwi cultural export since Flight Of The Conchords.” -- Urb

The Dear And Departed - Every Waking Moment CD (Equal Vision)
A fusion of rich, flowing vocal melodies and intricate harmonies, and bright, layered guitar work mixed with driving bass lines. Vocalist Dan Smith, a tattoo artist for over seven years, is a cast member of L.A. Ink.

Dick Diver - New Start Again CD/LP (Chapter Music)

Disco Inferno - The 5 EPs CD (One Little Indian)
One of the first wave of 'post-rock' acts, Disco Inferno combined avant-garde aesthetics with a basis in solid pop hooks, credibly depicting suburban alienation and national decay through embittered, intelligent lyrics.

Each of them has donated their time and waived all royalties to this work to raise funds for Oxfam.

Dwarr - Starting Over CD/LP (Drag City/Yoga)
“An outsider in an already left-of-center genre, Duane Warr, better known by recording moniker Dwarr, began his journey into the annals of musical obscurity as a factory worker with dreams of making it big in Columbia, SC. His music is an eccentric combination of psychedelic rock and doom metal, drawing from influences like Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, and Pentagram to create an atmospheric and riff-oriented sound that was made all the stranger by occasional bursts of piano and saxophone.” -- All Music

Brian Eno - Panic Of Looking CDEP/12” (Warp)
From the recordings that produced Drums Between The Bells -- Eno’s recent collaboration with British poet Rick Holland -- comes six new tracks that continue the exploration of how lyric and songwriting are perceived in the post-everything era.

ESG - Come Away With Me [Reissue/1983] CD (Fire)
ESG - ESG [Reissue/1991] CD (Fire)
Reissue of the influential band’s first two albums. “It certainly wasn't by design that the South Bronx-based group ESG affected post-punk, no wave, hip-hop, and house music. They opened for Public Image Ltd. and A Certain Ratio, they released records on the same label as Liquid Liquid, they had their music sampled countless times, and they became a playlist staple at '70s dance clubs like the Paradise Garage and the Music Box.” -- All Music

Gallagher's first solo album/project since the 2009 split of multi-platinum band Oasis.

Greg Ginn And The Royal We - We Are Amused CD (SST)
“On We Are Amused, Ginn delves into his own brand of electronica. Although the album will definitely feature the guitar artistry for which Ginn is known, it will also feature some different instruments, including a theremin, an electronic instrument that is basically an oscillator, where the person playing it controls the frequency with his or her hands.” -- CMJ

Charlie Gracie - For The Love Of Charlie CD (Abkco)

Chuck Johnson - Struggle Not A Thought CD/LP (Strange Attractors)

Johnson's full length debut is an album brimming with sparkling finger style compositions that are just as forward thinking and jaw dropping as any revered documents by the steel string compositional masters, both past and present.

Joker - The Vision CD/LP (4AD)
The British electronica/dubstep wunderkind continues to playfully subvert pop conventions.

Kaskade - Fire And Ice CD (Ultra)
Kaskade defines the signature San Francisco house sound, with his luscious productions and mixes being slices of shimmering house perfection.

Alam Khan - Shades of Sarode CD (AMMP)
Son of the legendary Sarode Maestro Ali Akbar Khan, Alam was blessed to learn and live in the traditional stye of Guru and student. Ali Akbar Khan’s careful crafting and guidance shows in each note as well as in Alam’s imaginative way of expressing the ancient ragas passed down from the courts of Emperor Akbar by Mian Tansen in the 16th century.

King Midas Sound - Without You CD (Hyperdub)
King Midas Sound released their enthralling debut album Waiting For You in November 2009. A hyper-modern nocturnal take on lovers rock, featuring delicate but sour electronic instrumentals topped with Roger Robinson's bitter-sweet falsetto and Kiki Hitomi’s fragile voice, it highlighted a hitherto less-exposed side of producer Kevin Martin’s musical evolution. For Without You Kevin Martin has sourced a pool of radical reinterpretations that follow somewhat in the tradition of reggae, in the same way that the original Waiting For You album did.

Last Dominion Lost - The Tyranny Of Distance CD (Tesco Organization)
The music is more or less a follow up to classical SPK music like "Leichenschrei" -- hard aggressive screams, rhythms, and noise loops with a partly tribal touch. All produced with old analog equipment.

Leviathan - True Traitor, True Whore CD (Profound Lore)
Leviathan is one of the most creative and prolific entities in the black metal genre.

An interview from the BBC broadcast also is included on the DVD.

Oneohtrix Point Never - Replicas CD/LP (Software)

Royal Trux - Singles Live Unreleased [Reissue/1997] 2xCD3xLP (Drag City)
Royal Trux was a band to which the word "definition" had no meaning. This 32-song bomb was dropped on a highly suspect America back in the early winter of 1997. Collected from 1988 to around the time they were signed to Virgin in 1994, this collection represents a living, breathing entity built of contradictions, rhythm, gleeful exploitation of limitations and clichés, the short con (and when you finally notice, they'd slip into the long one) and above all, total commitment.

Rush - Rush: Time Machine 2011: Live in Cleveland DVD (Zoe)
The 26-song two-disc set includes the band's performance of the classic Moving Pictures in its entirety. Also available on stand-alone DVD.

Schlammpeitziger - Vorausschauende Bebauung CD (Sonig)
Schlammpeitziger’s typical swarm of melodies is permeated with ghostly drifting strings and sub-bass, creating a new secretive and enchanted mélange. The beats are sharp and gripping; the cold, synthetic disco sound is a long way from the private intimacy of previous works.

Twerps - Twerps CD (Chapter Music)
Twerps have a fascination with New Zealand's 1980s Flying Nun era, as well as U.S. bands like The Feelies and Galaxie 500, but they also contain a kind of Australian pop timelessness that harks back to the Go-Betweens, Paul Kelly and the Sunnyboys.

Various Artists - Eccentric Soul: Nickel & Penny Labels CD (Numero)
Numero’s final release of 2011 took five years to assemble. Astute readers of previous liner notes may remember a section on acclaimed Chicago dusties DJ Richard Pegue in Eccentric Soul: Twinight’s Lunar Rotation. But for those who are more aurally connected to Numero, he’s brilliant arranger and producer on Renaldo Domino’s “Not Too Cool To Cry” and “Nevermore,” the Perfections “Why Do You Want To Make Me Sad” and “Which One Am I,” and Sidney Pinchback’s “Soul Strokes.” As soon as Twinight was done Numero approached Richard about doing a similar treatment for his Nickel and Penny concerns. He was immediately interested, but then again, Pichard Pegue was interested in everything. He died in the middle of working on this project, but we think he’d be pretty thrilled with the finished product. Vinyl version due November 21.

Long beloved of later musicians such as Gram Parsons, The Byrds, Wilco, The Louvin Brothers became the most lauded harmony team in country, influencing The Everly Brothers. Satan Is Real is their Southern Gothic masterpiece from 1959, an angelic combination of high lonesome country and dark southern gospel. On Handpicked Songs 1955-62, stars of country, rock, and folk pay homage by handpicking a track each for this brilliant compilation of archive recordings.

Mannequin Men - Mannequin Men LP (Addenda)

Noothgrush - Live For Nothing 2xLP (Southern Lord)
Recently released on CD -- now available on vinyl. Noothgrush was well known for their consistently bludgeoning assault, played at slow as boiling tar tempos.

Alasdair Roberts & Karine Polwart/Drew Wright - Scottish Split 7” (Twos & Fews)
7” released in tandem with the comp Whaur The Pig Gaed On The Spree. The A-side of the single is Alasdair Roberts' own arrangement and performance (with renowned Scottish singer Karine Polwart) of "Captain Wedderburn's Courtship," a traditional ballad, while the flipside features another young and talented traditionally-minded Scots singer, Drew Wright, who turns in an interpretation of the classic Scots border ballad, "The Dowie Dens O Yarrow."

Sandwitches - Pearl b/w Benny's Memory Palace 7” (Hardly Art)
Gothic Americana and tender misfit pop. Expect tempered echo chamber delay on one side and then bask in an incredible falsetto lift and drop on the flip.

Ty Segall - Spiders b/w Cherry Red 7” (Drag City)
B-side is a cover of the Groundhogs almighty "Cherry Red."

Skull Defekts - 2013-3012 12”+MP3 (Thrill Jockey)
Guests include Daniel Higgs and Zomes. A-side consists of three new songs, while the B-side is a reverse cut done on a Scully Lathe. The B-side is not only a reverse recording of the A-side, but literally plays backwards from the inside of the record to the outside.

Slugabed - Sun Too Bright Turn It Off 12” (Ninja Tune)
Channels the energy of the best of today's bass music, through spacey bleeps and meditative melodies to explore the outermost reaches of electronic music.

Various Artists - Whaur The Pig Gaed On The Spree: Scottish Recordings By Alan Lomax 1951-'57 LP (Twos & Fews)
Whaur The Pig Gaed On The Spree commemorates the 60th anniversary of Alan Lomax's first Scottish recordings and acknowledges their profound effect on Scotland's Folk revival with one of its most gifted heirs at the wheel: Drag City artist Alasdair Roberts. Curated by Roberts and produced in collaboration with the Alan Lomax Archive's Global Jukebox label, the record is a startlingly diverse portrait of Lowland traditional music and song: from gentle to rumbustious, hilarious to heartbreaking.

Walton - Walton 12” (Hyperdub)

Chris Watson - Tren Fantasma: The Signal Man 12” (Touch)

Yuck - Yuck [Bonus Disc] 2xLP (Fat Possum)
Includes an extra disc featuring six new tracks. This is a confident, wildly ambitious record, but also one which brims over with a ragged warmth and tenderness, tipping its hat at alt music heroes past such as East River Pipe, Dinosaur Jr. and Sparklehorse while at the same time retaining a unique identity entirely its own.

Zambri - Glossolalia 12”+MP3 (Kanine)
Mixes experimental beats and dueling female vocals with captivating melodies to create unromantic love songs. Filled with gothic and avant-garde pop vocals, the songs might sound familiar, like a lost Siouxsie And The Banshees or Kate Bush classic, but they manage to bring it to an altogether new place.

Zs - 33 2x7” (Northern Spy)
A dreamscape of thunderous bass and infectious rhythm.
